PRESS STATEMENT ON THE IMPERSONATION OF OFFICE BY OLALERE SAMUEL

It has come to my notice that one OLALERE SAMUEL sponsored by the enemy of the students in the South West has been impersonating my office as NANS JCC Chairman, Lagos Chapter.

I am very surprised that this person just woke up one day and started claiming to be Lagos Chapter JCC Chairman. Where was he when I led Lagos to the National Convention in Abuja? Since my emergence, I have represented Lagos as the JCC Chairman in all events in Lagos State.

I am not surprised because this impostor is a sponsored agent of politicians in students struggle and their only aim is to attack the National President and begin to use impostors to blackmail him. They even went ahead to address a press conference to blackmail the National President. Peddling same falsehood the peddled immediately after he became President. They said he is a 49years old, a civil servant and they even said he is not a student. Up till date, they can’t prove any of these, even leaders that the National President will normally prostrate to greet anytime they meet in any students event are not even 40years old yet. Someone you claimed he isn’t a student was received by his university after the election in an elaborate reception sparehead by the VC and attended by all Management Staff of the University and genuine students in the Zone and beyond.

Let me on behalf of the genuine Students Union Presidents in Lagos and the JCC apologize to the National President for the attack on his person by impostors using Lagos name. Lagos have nothing to do with the attack as Asefon has been the most active and successful NANS President of recent history. He came to Lagos and fought for the reversion of increment of school fees of new intake in LASU and more recently ensured that Students Union Government return to YabaTech which he even attended the union inauguration ceremony after long years of proscription. Why will any genuine students in Lagos want to blackmail the President?

I have made official report to security agencies in Lagos and they are on the trail of this impostor and soon he will face the consequences of his action. I therefore warn him and his sponsors to desist forthwith from mentioning Lagos in their charade and face their politics because NANS JCC Lagos Chapter is solidly behind the National President and rate him very high as a result of his many pro students struggles.

Myself and all the genuine JCC Chairmen in the Zone will address a joint press conference this week to address some of these issues and reteriate our loyalty and support to the leadership of the National President while exposing these impostors and their sponsors. The unity of the Zone is non-negotiable and we won’t allow marauders and political jobbers turn our zone to a war zone.

CHAIRMAN, NANS LAGOS
