Armed Robbers Attack Three Banks, Kill Two Persons In Kogi

Armed robbers on Tuesday evening invaded Egbe community in Yagba West local government council of Kogi State, raided three banks and killed two persons.

It was reliable gathered that the armed robbers numbering over 20 invaded the community at about 5 pm on Tuesday evening.

According to an eyewitness account, the armed robbers stormed the town in three different vehicles, headed for two of the old generation banks in a well-coordinated manner and startedwhipaInv sporadically whipaInva equally bombed paInvad the bank in other to gain access into the bank.

The sources said people had to run for dear lives while the robbers continue to carry out their raid.

It was gathered that the robbers went to another bank in Odo-Eri the headquarters of Yagba West and killed a security officer and another person.

The source stated that everybody had to take cover in their respective houses while those on duty quickly locked up themselves to avoid being killed by the robbers.

The Kogi State Police Commissioner, Idirisu Dauda Dabban, confirmed the robbery incident.

He said he was waiting for details from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Yagba West
