Osun assembly adopts finance/appropriation reports on 2022 budget

Osun State House of Assembly has today adopted the report of Finance and Appropriation Committee on propose 2022 Budget of the State at the House of Assembly Osogbo.

The Speaker of the Parliament, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye in his remarks during the presentation of report of the Finance and Appropriation Committee on the Presentation and Consideration of the year 2022 proposed Budget of the state observed that the #129, 256, 450, 790 was catered for entire citizens welfare of the state.

He advised all revenue agencies of government to increase their revenue into state purse.

He implored the government to provide facilities for internal generated revenue driving of ministries, department and agencies of government.
According to him, “I want to encourage revenue agencies to increase on their revenue to the state”.

“The government must provide facilities for IGR driving MDAs in the state” he added.

Earlier, the Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation Hon. Taiwo Adebayo Olodo while presenting the report noted that the budget christened Budget of Sustainable Development catered for state development.

He said 78 Ministries, Department’s and Agencies of government appeared for screening exercise lasted for 14 days.

He maintained that the 2022 budget estimate must be revenue driving, effectively perform one.

According to him, “There shall be value for money in this year budget”.
“This year 2022 budget should be value for money budget” he added.

However, the motion for the adoption of the report was moved by Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation Hon. Taiwo Adebayo Olodo and seconded by Hon. Wale Adedoyin representing Ilesa West State Constituency respectively.
