BREAKING: Gunmen Attack Lawmaker In Ebonyi

Effiumm Community: lawmaker representing Ohaukwu North Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon Chinedu Awoh, was on Sunday evening attacked by unknown gunmen on his way to Effium Community.

VAM News gathered that Hon Awoh who hails from the Effium community was in the company of some people in the area when the incident occurred.

The details of the incident were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, but the Lawmaker was said to have been ambushed on his way by the gunmen who rained bullets at his convoy.

Hon. Awoh sustained severe bullet wounds and is currently receiving medical attention at the intensive care unit of Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki.

The war has claimed hundreds of lives and property worth billions have also been destroyed.

Three weeks ago, a Consultant handling the Ebonyi ring road project and four others with him, were kidnapped along the Effium axis of the ring road while supervising the project.

The kidnap victims are yet to be found as of the time of filing this report.
