Breaking: Unknown Gunmen Set Imo Police Station On Fire, Kill Officer

Unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have razed down a police station at Arondizuogu in Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to Daily Post, the incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning, led to the death of a police officer.

Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Michael Abattam, confirmed the attack but was, however, unable to give details.

VAM News had earlier reported that gunmen on Monday afternoon killed a military officer after attacking some soldiers in Awo Mmamma in the Oru East Local Government Area of the state.

Military personnel were said to have regrouped, invaded the town, and allegedly set fire to a hotel, vehicles, residences, and stores.
