Breaking: Panic as Gas Explosion Hits Ibadan

Residents of UCH area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital have been left in fear as a gas explosion occurred late Thursday night.

VAM News gathered that the explosion went off about 9pm, Thursday November 18.

Many buildings were razed by the raging inferno in a video seen by our correspondent.

A radio outlet in Ibadan also confirmed the incident

Saying; “There’s a gas explosion around NTA operation burst road before UCH, Ibadan. Please if you are driving through that route tonight, seek an alternative route!”

However, no casualties have been recorded as at the time of filing this report.

The Oyo State Police Command and Fire Service are yet to comment on the latest gas explosion in Ibadan explosion.

The explosion is coming just about 48 hours after a tanker conveying petrol exploded along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leaving at least five people dead.
