Gunmen Abduct Three Butchers, Injure One In Ondo

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted three butchers and injured another in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at Ajadusi Community after Ala town while the butchers were on their way to purchase cows.

According to sources, the four butchers had received a call from one of the suspected kidnappers to come and buy cows.

On getting to the community, the abductors were said to have besieged them, shot sporadically before kidnapping the three of them.

The only butcher who escaped and now receiving treatment at a popular hospital in Akure said the kidnappers macheted him in the head.

Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Funmi Odunlami, said she was yet to be briefed on the incident.
