Masari To APC state excos: “Your loyalty is to the party NOT individual”

Governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari has urged newly elected executives of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress to always remember that their loyalty is to the party and not to any chieftain or individual.

Masari charged them to work for the party and ensure its successes in future elections.

The advice was given by Masari during a maiden meeting with the new party executives at the Government House, Katsina, on Sunday.

The governor said, “People should understand that this is an undertaking between you and your God.

“We came from different parts of Katsina to converge here. What I am saying in essence is the road that brought you as members of APC executives; your allegiance is not, let me repeat it, to that person(s) including me.

“Your allegiance is to All Progressives Congress party and the state will uplift all of us. This is very important.”

He charged the new executives to be accommodating and see themselves as representatives of the APC members wherever they find themselves.

Masara further said, “We have tried in our way to make sure that the interest of APC comes first and your selection was on the basis of the belief that you would promote APC as a political party and by extension, promote Katsina as a state.”

He also justified the consensus arrangement through which the new executives emerged, insisting that the party members in the state agreed on it.

The new state Chairman of the party, Sani Daura, assured that he and his team would work for the progress of the party, promising that the executives would also carry party members along in their decisions.
