Entrepreneurship Scheme: NANCES Frowns At Emefiele, CBN Over Unequal Fund Disbursement

National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education of Students (NANCES) has reacted to the partial disbursement of fund to tertiary institution as colleges of education was excluded.

After Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN announced the guideline for the disbursement of the Tertiary Institutions Enterpreneurship Scheme (TIES). It came to the notice of NANCES that Colleges of Education was not shortlisted among the tertiary institutions to benefit.

This drags the association of colleges student to speak up as they have shown reaction to the unequal disbursement in an open leader to Godwin Emefiele, the governor of Central bank of Nigeria.

Full press statement below;

OPEN LETTER TO GODWIN EMEFIELE, THE GOVERNOR OF CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA
Marginalization of Colleges of Education Students in the ongoing Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Scheme (TIES) By Central Bank of Nigeria: We ARE STUMMING THE CBN FOR EMEFIELE TO ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS (EMEFIELE MUST GO)

The National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) read this morning with rude shock the announce guideline by CBN for the disbursement of the Tertiary Institutions Enterpreneurship Scheme (TIES) without mentioning Colleges of Education among the tertiary institutions to benefit.

For clarification colleges of education students undertake Entrepreneurship as a compulsory course in all campuses, we have center for skill acquisition and entrepreneurship in our campuses to teach students various skills that can make them employer of labour instead of continous search for white collar job.

It is now a total disrespect and act of wickedness from emefiele led CBN to marginalise and shortchange the colleges of education in their released guideline for the Tertiary Institutions Enterpreneurship Scheme (TIES) disbursement. The question is WHY, is the colleges of education not tertiary institution in this country, is the college students not students or graduates in Nigeria, we are the most important students in this country because we are train to teach and decide the future of many infants and younger generation in this country. Help us ask CBN why did they hate us, why is Emefiele Led CBN bent on destroying teachers education, is unemployment not the business of all of us, did they want us to be litering around, did they want us to become criminals if not empowered?? All this demand answers from emefiele led CBN.

Furthermore, we are calling on the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), to wake up to their responsibilities and Stop sitting back and watch their people suffer, if NUC can always be on their toe for their students and graduates to enjoy, NBTE doing the same, we call on NCCE to wake up and join us to fight this act of disrespect against all of us at the Colleges of Education.

Enough is Enough

We are calling all students of colleges of education across board, meaningful Nigerians, activist, to join us as well take the bull by the horn. We will be engaging the central bank of Nigeria with total confrontation to demand some answers from him and also ask him why is he bent on destroying teachers education. We cannot take it any longer……
