PHOTO: Residents Lament Massive Security Presence At Osun APC Secretariat And Environs

 

 

There were massive security presence at the Osun state secretariat of the APC.

 

VAM news noticed that security operatives were stationed at all possible places that lead to the Osun APC Secretariat along Ogo oluwa in Osogbo.

 

Recalls that APC local government Congress was done all over the federation on Saturday 4th of September 2021.

 

 

The Osun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC adopted consensus as the way of choosing there various leaders at the local government level.

 

But a factional group of the party, TOP didn’t like the decision of the party by adopting consensus to decide the LG congress exercise.

 

Also, during the party’s Ward Congress that was done in July, it was reported that the exercise experienced some unrest and this is the reason for the deployment of massive security operatives to the party’s secretariat.

 

Although, the security operatives presence is not to intimidate the Osun residents but it affect their transportation network because the blockage of some parts of the Ogo oluwa road lead to traffic gridlock within the location.

 

A motorists, identified as Seyi, who is a resident of the state, while reacting, lamented about the action of the ruling APC party.

 

 

In his word, “It’s highly barbaric, untoward and poor arrogance for the APC in Osun to have subjected fellow citizens to this terrible condition of gridlock on Monday morning.

 

 

Why should they use their own problem to disturb others?

 

 

This morning, the party completely blocked a section of the road, now left one lane for road users. This is highly insensitive, ludicrous and condemnable.

 

 

Why should a political party shut down a section of a town using the government’s instrument of coercion?
