The Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun Sector Command, has announced that a man sustained serious injuries as a result of a road traffic accident.
The accident, according to the FRSC, occurred on the Ife-Gbongan axis of the Ibadan-Ilesa expressway around 2:40 am on Saturday.
The probable cause of the crash, which involved a white coloured Mazda bus model E2000 with registration number AKD544YD, was due to overspeeding on the part of the driver.
The spokesperson of the command, Agnes Ogungbemi, told DAILY POST that the victim was taken by the command rescue team to a private hospital in Ipetumodu for treatment.
Ogungbemi also advised that to prevent accidents on the road, drivers should be careful on the steering wheels and also strive to observe speed limits and road safety rules.
