Consensus Not Possible In Osun APC – Party Secretary, Salinsile Affirms

 

 

 

The Caretaker Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Alhaji Rasaq Salinsile has ruled out a consensus arrangement given in the congress of the party which is expected to start on Saturday, July 31.

 

 

According to the Caretaker Secretary, there is no mutual agreement among the stakeholders.

 

 

Salinsile, in an interview yesterday, maintained that consensus could only be possible where there is an agreement among stakeholders of the party.

 

 

He added that the current situation in Osun APC did not accommodate consensus.

In his words, “The constitution of the party states that there are three ways through which you can elect candidates: The first one is consensus, the second is direct primary and the third one is indirect primary – delegate system.
