People Thought By Now, Nigeria Must Have Gone Into Flames – General Ezugwu

Maj-Gen Victor Ezugwu, the Commander, Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army, has said that Nigeria would remain indivisible.

The senior officer spoke to newsmen on Tuesday at the Eid-el-Kabir celebration organised for children of officers and soldiers residing in Jaji Military Cantonment.

Ezugwu noted that the event attended by children of personnel of different religion portrays the unity of the country.

“People thought by now, Nigeria must have gone into flames, but to the glory of God, we are still matching as a nation,” NAN quoted him as saying.

The General expressed belief that the nation will be more peaceful “than what we are seeing now”.

Ezugwu said God did not make mistake by making Nigeria a single united country, adding that Nigerians should preach against division.
