We Cannot Sit Back And Watch Our Party Destabilise By Mischievous Party Members – Osun PDP

VAM news has gathered that Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged members of the public to disregard attempts by a group trying to distract the party from focusing on advancement moves and regaining its glorious position in the state.

This was disclosed through a statement released by the party made available to the press.

According to the statement, “Such reckless allegation was not only weighty, but should be made to be proven to clear notions making the round that the contracted undertakers have a state configured line of communication with the state’s preferred arbitrator on the matter at hand. This they do basically to cook biles of blackmail on an innocent citizen without a check.

“Refusal of the state judiciary and other relevant agencies of government to take cognisance of this with appropriate steps to address such spurious blackmail can only complicate the eroded confidence of members of the public in the state’s judiciary.

“Recent developments where official documents of court found their way to the media space through a party that has not been served, minutes after being served only on statutory judicial officials in the highest echelon, also calls for a grave concern and diligent investigation.

“For actors in the state judiciary, who are enshrined with sacred privilege of adjudicating on our party leadership issue, we wish to demand a clean process devoid of executive dictates or intimidation.”

The statement alleged the ousted chairman of the party, Olasoji Adagunodo, of conniving with the ruling party in the state to drag degrade PDP to the lowest degree.

They also claimed that the deposed chairman cannot allege the party of wrongdoings against him without addressing the evidential facts that led to his oustage.

Adagunodo was accused of collaborating with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2018, which eventually carved the hole of thwarting spirited efforts of the people to reclaim our state from the political felons.

It stated that in line with the rules of engagement of the PDP and in the spirit of a fair hearing, both parties should be allowed a level playing field to shred all evidence bordering on his allegations.

“We are convinced beyond all doubts that the deposed chairman was validly removed from office after his discretional bungling of trust of party members and blatant violation of letters of oath of his office,” it said.

“These in our humble opinion, are matters of evidence which should be allowed to be laid bare as almost all parties to the process are alive and kicking.”

However, the Osun state chapter of PDP internal crisis was emerged due to the superiority fight between those that are advocating for re-emergence of Ademola Adeleke as the party flagbearer for the 2022 Osun Gubernatorial Election and those that are against it.
