Oyetola’s Lack Of Collaboration With Lawmakers From PDP Is Hindering Osun State Advancement – Hon. Bamidele Salam

 

 

The lawmaker representing Ede, Ejigbo and Egbedore federal constituency in the house of representatives in Abuja, Hon. Bamidele Salam has revealed that the lack of collaboration of Oyetola with PDP lawmakers is causing a lot of setbacks to Osun state.

 

 

He said there are many lots of development that Osun state might have witnessed but due to governor Gboyega Oyetola’s attitude of responding reluctantly anytime he is approached to discuss the state issue with him by the lawmakers from the opposition party.

 

 

The lawmaker cited an example of when he had a meeting with the vice president Professor Osinbajo, in which he was able to share the grievance of the people he his representing and some things needed in his constituency.

 

 

Hon. Bamidele Salam said, during the meeting he mentioned the cocoa processing industry in Ede and how it can be rejuvenated to the vice president.

 

 

He narrates that Osinbajo’s response was positive and they were able to reach an agreement on the way forward to rejuvenate the cocoa processing industry, and part of the thing Osinbajo told him is to carry the state governor along inorder to make the project become a realistic, but when Gov. Oyetola was contacted, he was reluctant in responding to him.

 

 

However, he advised governors to stop prioritizing party interest above state interest.

 

 

He said governors should be ready to work together with anybody that seek their collaboration regardless of the party that the person come from, so far the aim is to enhance the development of the state.
