Twitter Ban: President Buhari Plan To Activate Life Time Presidency Agenda, Says PDP-NYM

When the Righteous are in Authority and become Great, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.

The PDP National Youth Movement (PDP-NYM), has condemned in totality the act by the Federal Government of Nigeria to suspend Twitter NG, in a press release signed by the President of the PDP NAT YOUTH MOVT, Engr S A Lukman.

In his word: “It is considered as an Introductory Part of hachet plan of APC led Federal Government to ensure Nigerians have no voice and measurable means to air their views on the misrule, insecurity, bad governance, poverty improvision and abuse of right and privileges of citizens to the world by the government voted into power to CHANGE and advance the nation to NEXT LEVEL.”

In a statement made available to VAM News by Comr Adeoluwa Peter, the National Publicity Secretary of the group, said Its obvious, the deprivation of Nigerians their Fundamental Human Rights which is stated in The constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, Chapter 4 of Human Rights.

(Section 39)
1). Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to
receive and impart ideas and information without interference.

(2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1) of this section, every person shall be
entitled to own, establish and operate any medium for the dissemination of information, ideas and
opinions:

However, The Federal Government sinister plan to Invoked Martial law contained in an Exposed Secret Memo of Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mallam Abubakar Malami to President Buhari which was reported by some online Medium sugested this undemocratic act.

Its presume that President Buhari is Planning to trample upon the Fundamental Rights of every Nigerian Citizen which may lead to state of emergency and possibly made General Elections in 2023 impossible for him to continue in Power beyond constitutional stipulated time.

The public will recall, that his Counterpart in Uganda employed similar tricks when he wanted to continue in power hence we reject this move and call for immediate reversal.

Federal Government must always consider the economic impact of any of her actions or policy, a sane mind with accurate understanding of impact of communication on business development will know a ban on twitter is a like demolition of some SMEs business/shopping mall.

On this Note, the Above aforementioned Organization of our Dear Party PDP is given 14 Days Ultimatum to the Presidency to reinstate the status quo of the Social Media Platform Twitter NG Back to it’s Standard. Its rejected, any act of Tyranny in democracy dispensation, the statement reads.
