Come and Arrest Me – NLC President Dares Gov. El-Rufai

The president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, has dared Governor Nasir El Rufai to arrest him.

Nasir El Rufai, Governor of Kaduna state

Twitter Wabba made the statement after the Kaduna governor declared him wanted for economic sabotage.

The NLC president told The Tribune that the protest was about workers in the state and not about him. The labour leader said: ”Let him come and arrest me. It is not about me. We are here and waiting for them.”

According to The Nation, Ayuba led the second-day protest from NLC secretariat at Golf Course road to NEPA Roundabout on Ahmadu Bello Way through Independence Way to Muhammadu Buhari Way.

Governor Rufai accused Wabba and other members of the organised labour of attacking public infrastructure under the Miscellaneous Offences Act.

The governor added that there would be a handsome reward for anybody who gives details about the NLC boss.
