Osun Residents Stranded as Discounted Food Company Disappears With Customers’ Millions

..selling a 50kg bag of rice for ₦27,000, 25 litres of cooking oil for ₦30,000 and a pack of spaghetti for ₦10,000

‎Hundreds of Residents in and outside Osogbo,Osun State Capital , were today stranded,as a food company situated in Odi-Olowo area, disappeared with advance payments made by customers for food items sold at unusually low prices.

Voice Air Media Correspondent reports that, The Food Company which started operations three weeks ago sells food items at a very cheap price and asked the customers to come after seven days to receive the purchased items.

‎The company lure customers with giveaway prices, selling a 50kg bag of rice for ₦27,000, 25 litres of cooking oil for ₦30,000 and a pack of spaghetti for ₦10,000 and customers are expected to make advance payments and come back for the items a week after.
‎

‎The scheme operators phone numbers were not reachable as at the time of filing in this report .

‎One of those affected who pleaded to be anonymous explained that the company attended to customers last Saturday but surprised to meet the company under lock and key today with no official of the company available to give an explanation of what happened.
‎

‎He stressed that customers invested various amounts ranging from Sixty thousand to millions of naira with the hope of receiving their items today.
‎

‎Speaking in an interview with Voice Air Media, A resident of the area, Mrs Nike Adebayo said the food company which started barely four weeks ago has been selling food items at low rate.

‎The angry Customers sat in groups discussing the issue with a few still expressing hope that the shop owner would return and reopen.
