Radio Oroki: Osogbo Proud to Have Ajelogbon as Son, Says Olowu of Kuta

THE Olowu of Owu-Kuta Kingdom, Oba (Dr) Adekunle Oyelude Makama (CON), has paid a royal visit to Radio Oroki, Osogbo, where he commended the management and staff of the station for their commitment to building a media platform that represents the identity of Osogbo, Osun State and Yoruba race.

The monarch was warmly received by the Proprietor of the Osogbo based online radio, Radio Oroki, Mukhtar Ajelogbon, alongside members of staff of the station during the visit on Saturday.

Speaking live on Radio Oroki, Oba Oyelude expressed excitement over the growth and development of the station, saying he was particularly happy to see how far Ajelogbon’s vision had progressed.

The Olowu recalled that Ajelogbon had involved him in the project from its early stages, noting that he had consistently followed the journey and witnessed the determination with which the Radio Oroki dream was pursued.

He praised Ajelogbon for refusing to abandon his ambition of establishing a radio station that carries the name and identity of Osogbo, describing his achievement as a demonstration of what determination and perseverance can accomplish.

The monarch also expressed his happiness for the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Laroye II, saying he was delighted that the traditional ruler has a son from Osogbo like Ajelogbon who is contributing to the development and positive representation of the city.

While speaking to Nigerian youths, Oba Oyelude urged them to remain committed to their dreams and aspirations, stressing the importance of perseverance in the pursuit of success.

He encouraged young people not to give up when faced with challenges, noting that with determination, today’s struggles could eventually give way to greater achievements.

As a further demonstration of his appreciation and support for the progress recorded by Radio Oroki, the Olowu of Kuta donated a sum of ₦1 million to the station.

The monarch also offered prayers for the continued success of Radio Oroki, as well as for Ajelogbon and the entire workforce of the station.

Responding, Ajelogbon expressed his profound appreciation to Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama (CON) for the visit, words of encouragement and generous donation, assuring the monarch that Radio Oroki would continue to pursue excellence and remain committed to positively projecting Osogbo, Osun State, and continue to uphold its responsibility as a media platform dedicated to informing, engaging and positively representing the people and traditions.
