JAMB Set Final Deadline For Outstanding Admissions

THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has extended the deadline for candidates offered admission from 2021 to date to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers.

According to JAMB, the new deadline is Wednesday, September 30, 2026, replacing the earlier deadline of Monday, August 31.

The extension gives candidates with pending admission offers more time to indicate whether they want to accept or reject them.

JAMB said candidates who accept their offers will be able to print their admission letters, while those who reject them will have their dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted.”

The Board also clarified that candidates who have secured admission in the 2026 admission exercise but still have an earlier admission offer pending can reject the previous offer without affecting their new admission.

It said candidates who are now studying elsewhere or in a different programme from the one attached to their previous admission may also accept the outstanding offer and later apply for the appropriate correction or deletion, where applicable.

JAMB warned that the September 30 deadline is final and that outstanding admission offers that remain neither accepted nor rejected will automatically be reverted to “Not Admitted.”

“There will be no further opportunity after the expiration of the extended deadline on Wednesday, 30 September 2026,” the Board stated.

It urged all affected candidates to take action before the deadline, warning that failure to accept an admission offer within the stipulated period will render the offer invalid.
