Setting the Record Straight: Remi Omowaiye’s Misrepresentations on the 2026 Osun Governorship Election, by Prince Adeotun Omisore

Ordinarily, one wouldn’t bother on any response to inglorious pontification of Remi Omowaiye on the just concluded Osun gubernatorial election but to put the record straight and for prosperity so that minions like Remi would not continue to rejoice in their falsehood.

Unfortunately, Remi Omowaiye remain one of the monsters created by former governor Gboyega Oyetola. No doubt Remi, a third class graduate of LAUTECH, Ogbomoso has no ancestral lineanage in Ijesa as he claimed and remain unintelligent enough to discern the fact as placed by erudite Otitoloju of TVC.

The remarks and analysis remain one of the best in the recent on the just concluded Osun guber election. Remi remain the first to have countered the position as presented that Oyetola is the greatest loser in this election . Greater percentage of APC party members across the State has been doing that and one of such is the latest response of Osun APC stakeholders sent to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Oyetola’s name did not necessarily need to be on the ballot to be credited the greatest loser, if Remi Omowaiye want to proof to be more intelligent to separate facts from fictions.

I don’t know what statistics Remi used to refer to 4 years of Oyetola as the greatest achievement that no leader in the State history has ever achieved, including Baba Akande. Unfortunately,Remi Omowaiye is not qualified to tell the public if Alh.Gboyega Oyetola has lost his face in the public nor is achievement as federal minister shines brighter and his historic impact as Osun state federal representative.

Remi, should have done better in this regard to support himself by few statistics on the over 200 jobs facilitated by the minister in the last three years, possibly by LG and few names mentioned so that it would not amount to bad dream for Remi.
That Oyetola facilitated unprecedented federal road remains catastrophic in his pontification. Putting the record straight OMISORE FACILITATED PROJECTS and not OYETOLA: facilitated/designed Gbongan junction-Akoda-Osogbo-Kwara boundary since 2010; Which Aregbesola awarded/but funded by the Federal Government,Dualisation of Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa was awarded to Kopek construction in 2012. Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo boundary was awarded to kopek in 2010.

Very sincerely, I pitied Alh. Gboyega Oyetola being surrounded by people like Remi Omowaiye. If anyone is still telling Oyetola that he stands tall in Osun political arena, that person is mischievous. With all sense of responsibilities, Remi, you are speaking from two sides of your mouth by alluding that Oyetola stands tall and maybe you are afraid in telling Alh. Oyetola the truth so as not to lose the remaining crumbs.

You claimed that Oyetola was asked to step aside from Campaign simply because his face would bring bad luck. It is on record that former governor Gboyega Oyetola face can never be use for any political campaign that will be successful. Is it not laughable, never to see any single banner, posters,branded vehicles or anything branded with Oyetola face to campaign for Bola Oyebamiji.

Though your position and that of whoever helped you in getting to the conclusion that Adeleke did not win the 15th August,2026 election amount seriously to premature ejaculation. Even in the conclave, the best don’t use to become the Pope. The result of the 15th August,2026 election does not in any way represent the popularity of APC if truly you desire to allow the party to grow beyond what you have of it.

The acclaimed 444000 votes remain a product of continued intimidation, harassment, unjust policing and federal might. It is highly disappointing the level of vote buying in the history of Osun State. APC spends as least as 30k and as much as 100k to buy one vote. All the votes accrued from the above are part of the 444000. Remi, don’t you really think it’s shameful on your part and that of your cohorts on the presumed undercurrent from some power that be in Abuja.

The implication is that you have taken your selfish tendencies across the state. Your complaint, Abuja conspiracy, external pressure, internal betrayal, Atiku faction supporting Adeleke etc shows you and your conspirators are mere political toddlers because all of these are ingredients of political survival which you have refuse to learn.

Where were you and your cohort in the 35 years of Ife born political actor active service to the state. This very political actor has been Deputy Governor and Senator and your principal still hustling in Lagos. It is quite important to assist Remi to learn some rudiments of honor and respect for elders which is lacking in his remark. Those governors so commissioned by your principal on the eve of the election are simply dancing to your foolishness and arrogance. Omowaiye probably was still in LAUTECH or an aide in the Oyo state House of Assembly.

Omowaiye’s father cannot be rude to Senator Omisore; this is just an act of stupidity, arrogance and lack of of home training that made him serial loser of all the wards in Ilesa West from 2018 to 2022 to 2026. These falsehoods and exaggerations of OYETOLA by his minions/sycophants LARGELY RESPONSIBLE for the APC LOSSES back to back. This ignorance of him and their co travelers was responsible for the OYETOLA’s losses in 2022 and 2026 Elections rounds. I think Omowaiye and his opportunists/Syncophants should have learned from the similar Wreckless statements credited to AKERE just before the election.

If you sleep on the wrong side and you are having bad dreams, wake up. The Ife born political actor has grown beyond mocking a Bola Oyebamiji for loosing the election. An election everyone knows the results abnitio but unfortunately, arrongance and your federal might could not allow you to see the truth which eventually culminated in the abysmal performance of your party. A word is enough for the wise.
