NNPCL adjusts fuel price

Nigerian filling stations have reduced their premium motor spirit, PMS, pump prices.

NNPCL outlets in Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, Wuse Zone 4 and Wuse Zone 6 in Abuja, had reduced their petrol price to N1,250 per litre, down from N1,299.

This means that the state-owned firm adjusted its petrol price by N49 per litre on Tuesday.

NNPCL’s latest fuel price drop came after Media reported that Nigerians have shunned the oil firm’s retail outlets due to the higher price of their petrol.

Recall that Dangote Refinery-backed MRS and other Nigerian filling stations had earlier reduced their pump prices by between N25 and N50 per litre to between N1,210 and N1,275 per litre.

With the latest petrol price reduction, Nigerians now buy fuel for between N1,210 and N1,300 per litre in Abuja and environs.
