RCCG Founder’s Daughter Pastor Titilayo Speaks On Viral Statement Over Church Legacy

RCCG Founder’s Daughter Pastor Titilayo Speaks On Viral Statement Over Church LegacyPastor Titilayo Adewale, the daughter of Pa Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi who founded the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has denied a viral message linked to her.

The message claimed that she accused RCCG leaders of ignoring her father’s legacy, and that many senior pastors don’t even know her father started the church.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Adewale said the statement did not come from her.
“My attention has been drawn to a statement said to be from me about RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye and my father’s legacy.
I want to make it clear that I did not say those things.”

She said her father never cared about fame or recognition. He would not be worried about whether his name or picture is on church buildings.

“For us, the important thing is not seeing his image on a building. The important thing is making Heaven and seeing him there,” she said.

She added that her father’s biggest legacy was people, not buildings.
“My father believed in raising people more than building structures.”

Adewale also said her father did not like owning property when he was alive.
“It was hard to even convince him to have his own house. If he didn’t care about owning a house, why would he care if his name is not on a building?”

She said the false report was meant to cause trouble and divide people in the church.
“This news is not about me, my father, or RCCG leaders. It is meant to cause arguments and distract us from God’s work.”

She asked those sharing the false story to stop.

Adewale also prayed for Pastor E.A. Adeboye and RCCG leaders.
“I pray for strength for Pastor Adeboye and his family. I pray God gives wisdom to RCCG leaders.
Wishing the RCCG family worldwide a successful convention. Shalom!”
