News Update
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the House of Representatives member representing Ede-North/Ede-South, Egbedore, Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Bamidele Salam, as a frustrated political entity who is being blindfolded by the abysmally poor state of affairs in the wobbling and disoriented administration of the embattled governorship candidate of his party, the Accord Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
It would be recalled that Salam featured on the Channels Television Station on Wednesday where he spewed unguarded and derogatory remark about the result-oriented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the forward looking and ever resourceful governorship candidate of our party, in the 15th August, 2026 election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) and the pragmatic Director-General of our election committee, Honourable Wole Oke.
It was uncharitable of Salam to have described our well-read, witty, workaholic and highly cerebral governorship candidate as ‘a weakling’ who will not be able to win his federal constituency during the forthcoming election.
We know where Salam is coming from and we are not surprised that he could make such an unsubstantiated and utterly reckless statement about our governorship candidate who has distinguished himself as a huge and exemplary success in both his private and public life as against his preferred governorship candidate who is a perpetual satellite human being in his over six decades in his journey of life.
There’s no way a child is beaten that he should be denied the opportunity to ventilate his anger through ceaseless crying as epitomised in the mere ranting of the ever loquacious federal lawmaker who needlessly broke loose and shamelessly engaged in exhibiting the irredeemable diarrhoea of the mouth.
The tone of the Salam tantrums against our calm and calculated governorship candidate who is not only well brought up but also imbued with an abundant native intelligence showed that the rudderless federal lawmaker is pained that we ceaselessly rejected the overtures of his boss to defect into our party which made him the first ever state governor to be denied of such overture in the political history of Nigeria.
It is worrisome when someone who is supposed to know is exhibiting crass ignorance to the consternation of the right-thinking members of the society.
We are not unaware of the fact that the obviously jittery federal lawmaker who is visibly being bogged down with the phobia of the imminent loss of the forthcoming governorship election by his preferred candidate which would dictate the direction of his own bid for re-election which has hit the rocks is the basis upon which he is needlessly spewing the said ill-informed remarks.
The appointment of Oke, the illustrious Esa-Oke-born federal lawmaker, representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, as the D-G of our governorship campaign committee, has created perennial fears of the imminent loss of the election by the directionless Accord Party and its perpetual place holder governor.
We know it is desirable for Salam to attack the AMBO who is destined and benignantly positioned to render his unproductive political compass jobless on the 15th of August, 2026 in order to prove to the Ede country home his blind continuous loyalty to the embattled and unproductive political characters of the Accord Party’s extraction which, in the jaundiced estimation of the federal lawmaker, could facilitate his re-election bid in the subsequent election.
There is an issue if it is beyond the comprehension of a supposed lawmaker that the transfer of any civil or public servant under which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) falls is a routine and an internal arrangement or the absolute business of such ministries or parastatals.
There’s more to the Accord Party’s members furore over the transfer of the Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner(REC) to Ondo State than meets the eye which is running riot in the subconscious of the good people of the state over an allegation being discussed in public places in the state in hushed tones that the crux of the matter in this regard was an alleged exchange of a N500 million gratification for an illegal electoral mission concerning the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
There’s no way someone having blood running in his vein would know about the metaphorical date of his political death that it would not be a veritable cause for concern no matter the level of his bravery.
It is strange and disheartening that Salam could be comparing the highly resourceful President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the visibly unproductive Governor Adeleke on his allegation of the combination of two ministries by the duo as apart from the fact that they are incomparable, the glaring difference between President Tinubu and Senator Adeleke is like comparing the sky with the ground which does not add up.
Our governorship candidate who has been toiling day and night to record merited victory in the forthcoming election while his main opponent in the election has been wining, dining and dancing from Nigeria to the United States of America, has substantially proven to the discerning minds that he is not a pretender but an active contender in the said election.
Why must Salam be blaming the highly cerebral AMBO and our resourceful governorship campaign D-G for the dwindling popularity of his favoured nonautomated governorship candidate who is forced to be contesting on the platform of the unpopular and relatively unknown Accord political party?
We are stating here unequivocally that no amount of outbursts from Salam and his political co-travellers would prevent the imminent loss of his political idol in the forthcoming governorship election as the exhibited best of the incumbent governor in his close to four years in the corridor of power in the state has proven that he lacks what it takes to take the state to the Eldorado.
