According to Makama, the operation followed a report of the herder’s disappearance in Ariri and Kwasha communities on April 13.
Security personnel launched a coordinated search in the affected areas, which led to the recovery of the herder’s lifeless body. In the same operation, 32 cattle were found alive, while three others were discovered dead.

The recovered remains and livestock were later handed over to leaders of the herding community for further action, while security patrols have been intensified in the area to prevent further incidents and maintain calm.
