CNYGG Passes Vote OF Confidence On Agbasi-led Ferma, Backs Renewed Hope Agenda

THE Concern Nigerian Youths for Good Governance (CNYGG) has passed a resounding vote of confidence on the Engr. Dr. Emeka Agbasi-led Management of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), reaffirming its trust in the leadership’s vision, commitment to infrastructural development, and dedication to staff welfare in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This resolution followed a comprehensive appraisal of the Agency’s performance, particularly in road rehabilitation, institutional reforms, and youth inclusion.

CNYGG noted that under the leadership of Engr. Dr. Emeka Agbasi, FERMA has not only improved operational efficiency but has also created meaningful opportunities for Nigerian youths across the country.

The group specifically highlighted the significant level of direct and indirect job creation recorded through ongoing road maintenance and rehabilitation projects.

According to Amb. Mahmud Abubakar,
National Convener CNYGG, thousands of youths have been gainfully engaged across various project sites nationwide, serving as engineers, technicians, artisans, equipment operators, and support personnel. Additionally, numerous indirect opportunities have been generated through supply chains, logistics, local contracting, and small-scale businesses that support project execution.

CNYGG emphasized that these interventions have gone beyond employment, positively impacting countless lives and communities. The group noted that many youths who were previously unemployed have now acquired skills, earned sustainable incomes, and improved their standard of living as a direct result of FERMA’s activities under the Agbasi-led administration.

In its statement, the group commended the management’s deliberate effort to integrate youth empowerment into its operational framework, describing it as a strategic move that aligns perfectly with national development priorities.

CNYGG also applauded the leadership for prioritizing staff welfare through proactive engagements and policies such as the proposed Job Peculiar Allowance aimed at significantly improving staff remuneration. The group described this as a bold and commendable initiative, especially given FERMA’s non-revenue-generating status.

Furthermore, the sustained engagements with key government institutions, including the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission and the Budget Office of the Federation, were described as a reflection of proactive and result-oriented leadership.

“Engr. Dr. Emeka Agbasi has demonstrated capacity, compassion, and commitment in leadership. Beyond infrastructural improvements, his administration has created opportunities, restored hope, and positively touched the lives of many Nigerian youths. This is highly commendable and worthy of national recognition,” the statement read.

The group stressed that the leadership style of Dr. Agbasi reflects the core principles of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes economic inclusion, job creation, and sustainable development.

While expressing satisfaction with the Agency’s progress, CNYGG encouraged the management to sustain the momentum, expand youth-focused initiatives, and ensure the timely delivery of road projects across all regions of the country.

The group concluded by urging stakeholders to continue supporting the Agbasi-led administration, noting that stability and continuity are essential for consolidating ongoing reforms and achieving lasting impact.

CNYGG reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to promoting good governance, youth empowerment, and policies that foster national growth and development across Nigeria.
