Iran war: ‘US won’ – Trump declares

Amid the ongoing tensions between the United States/Israel and Iran, US President Donald Trump has declared that America has won the war in Iran.

Trump made this statement on Wednesday while speaking in Kentucky, stating, however, that the US has to finish the job.

“We’ve won. Let me tell you, we’ve won. You know, you never like to say too early you won. We won. In the first hour it was over. But we won,” he said.

After the president declared victory, he noted that the US cannot leave early but finish the job completely.

“We gotta finish the job, right?” Trump said.

Trouble started on February 28 when the US, alongside Israel, attacked Iran, resulting in the death of the Iranian Supreme Leader.

The hostility has continued with Iran launching series of drones and missiles on every United States’ interest in neighbouring countries.

Iran has also struck Israel severally with drones and missiles.

At least 7 US soldiers have died from the war with about 104 injured.
