Nigeria’s S’Eagles Maintain Spot In Latest FIFA Rankings

News Update

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will end 2025 in 38th position, after the latest men’s ranking was released by the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, on Monday.

Éric Chelle’s side also maintained their position as the fifth best team in Africa.

The three-time African champions are behind Morocco, Senegal, Algeria and Egypt.

The Super Eagles will hope to improve their position in the ranking with a good performance at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Globally, Spain stayed in number one position ahead of World champions Argentina.

France, England, and Brazil complete the top five in the world.

The next FIFA men’s ranking will be released on 19 January, 2026.
