Adeleke revealed that he officially joined the Accord Party on 6 November 2025 after weeks of consultations with stakeholders and opinion leaders. He said the decision was well understood by residents of the state, noting that his move was aimed at completing ongoing projects and sustaining the delivery of what he described as “good governance and democratic dividends,” which he claimed had gained recognition locally and internationally.
Explaining his choice of platform, the governor said the Accord Party’s ideology of welfarism aligns with his administration’s focus on citizens’ and workers’ welfare. He expressed satisfaction with the party’s philosophy, stating that the primary duty of any government is the wellbeing of its people.
Adeleke also welcomed the national leadership of the Accord Party to Osun State, describing their presence as a sign of unity and shared purpose. He emphasized the need for a strong, united front as preparations for future elections intensify.
According to him, the Accord Party is poised to “take over Osun governance” and continue the progress recorded in the state.
