ACCORD Moves To Petition Daniel Edeachi Over Fabricated Suit, Affirms Unity Amongst Party Leaders

THE Chairman of the ACCORD in Osun State, Pastor Victor Akande has accused Daniel Edeachi of gross misconduct and lack of professionalism and has vowed to lodge a formal complaint to the Legal Practitioners’ Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) for his failure to conduct proper investigations on the state of affairs on the leadership of the party.

Reacting to the suit filed by Oliver Bitrus and represented by his counsel, Daniel Edeachi, marked FCT/CV/4955/2025 as reported by Punch Newspaper, Pastor Victor Akande dismissed the claims that a Federal High Court judgment recognized one Prof. Chris Imumolen as the National Chairman of the Accord. He went further to dismiss the claim of the purported suspension of one Chief Okey Nwosu as the Deputy National Chairman as there was no time the person held such a post within the party.

Pastor Victor Akande accused Daniel Edeachi for failing to observe due diligence and verify the claim of Oliver Bitrus before proceeding to file the suit as all the claims by the plaintiffs are imaginary and appeared sponsored declaring that “This is a conspiracy sponsored by wicked and desperate politicians to distract our party. There was no time the court affirm the suspension of Maxwell Mgbudem as the National Chairman. The suit was properly dismissed by the court since last year and was not appealed against till date. These are facts that should have been verified by Daniel Edeachi before proceeding to mislead the courts. We will report the counsel to the appropriate authorities”. Pastor Akande noted.

Affirming its readiness for the upcoming governorship primary in Osun State Pastor Victor Akande declared that “Our party is ready and not distracted. We held our NWC meeting earlier this week and just two days ago, NEC, the highest decision making organ of our party constituted a caretaker committee for Osun state which I am the chairman. NEC also approved the electoral guidelines for the 2026 Osun State governorship primaries and established an Electoral Committee for the exercise and passed a vote of confidence on NWC headed by our National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem, and maintained that there is no faction in the party.

“As affirmed by our National Chairman, Accord will not tolerate any individual whose actions or utterances seek to undermine the harmony, stability, and unity of the party. Discipline remains a core value of our political family, and we will apply it firmly whenever necessary to preserve the integrity of our collective mandate. I urge all our members and supporters to remain focused as the party will ensure a seamless process in the forthcoming primary election” he concluded.
