Six Arrested for Dumping Trash in Lagos

The Lagos state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, has confirmed the arrest of six individuals in the Meiran axis of the state for illegal dumping of refuse on Thursday, November 20.

He gave the names of the apprehended individuals as Patience Orobatan 72 (female), 2. Felicia Aja 40 (female), Sheriff Ogundeji 20 (male), Titilayo Durorike 40 (female)  , Adeola Ononuga 52 (female) and Adu Bola 60 (female).

Following their apprehension, all individuals were investigated to determine the reasons for their disposal of waste in unauthorized locations. None of the individuals was able to provide evidence of PSP registration or demonstrate the existence of a waste storage facility at their residential premises. All apprehended individuals have been transferred to the LAWMA legal team at the Oshodi Taskforce office for further legal proceedings.
