A female kitchen staff member of an Ilorin-based hotel, located in the Babaode area of the state capital, has been allegedly murdered by yet to be identified as assailants.
The unidentified staff member was said to have been murdered at about 12:00 a.m. on Saturday within the hotel premises.
The reasons for the murder are still unknown, and the Kwara State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
It was gathered that the victim was strangled to death with a cloth by the assailants.

There are conflicting reports circulating about the incidentโs motive. Some claim that the assailants were hired by someone, while others suggest they actually came for the owner of the hotel, who was not available at the time of the incident.
The incident has led to panic within the hotel as terrified guests moved out of the facility.

The Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, confirmed the development in response to a text message sent to him by DAILY POST in Ilorin on Monday.
