Panic has engulfed the Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State after armed bandits attacked Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, GGCSS, Maga in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area, killing the Vice Principal and abducting several students.
The late-night assault left the vice principal, Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, dead after he reportedly attempted to shield students from the attackers.

The number of students kidnapped remains unclear, as authorities are yet to provide official details.
A resident, Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, who confirmed the incident, said the assailants invaded the school unhindered, unleashing terror and throwing the community into trauma.
“It is a heartbreaking tragedy that has thrown the entire region into deep fear and mourning,” she lamented.
