3rd Anniversary: Diaspora Engineer Hails Oyebanji, Calls Ekiti A Rising Star

News Update

Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration has received high praise from the diaspora, with a prominent Ekiti indigene and chartered professional engineer describing the state as a “rising star” driven by impactful infrastructure.

The commendation was delivered by Engr. Olaoluwa Dawodu (EOD), an Isan-Ekiti-born, Australia-based Chartered Professional Engineer who specializes in Designs, Maintenance/Reliability, and Projects within the Mining sector. Engr. Dawodu, who is also the Founder and Principal Engineer of Tite Knox Pty Ltd, hailed the Governor’s three-year performance, stating that his “exceptional work in office has made Ekiti State stand tall amongst the comity of states.”

Engr. Dawodu specifically lauded key projects and their transformative impact on the state’s economic landscape:

Completion and Approval for Full Commercial Operation of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport:

Engr. Dawodu noted that the airport is a monumental achievement that has “opened up Ekiti to the world.” This strategic asset is expected to serve as a critical economic gateway, attracting investors, drastically reducing logistics costs for exporters, boosting the state’s agro-industrial capacity, and creating hundreds of crucial job opportunities.

Construction of the Ado-Ekiti Ring Road (Phase I) and Other Roads:

He highlighted that this infrastructure is a game-changer, facilitating the easy, faster, and cheaper movement of farm produce from rural areas to urban markets and the airport, thereby strengthening the agricultural value chain and boosting returns for local farmers.

Inclusion and Social Welfare:
The engineer also commended the comprehensive renovation and equipping of health facilities across the state, alongside the administration’s policy of proper care and inclusion for People with Disability (PWD).
“We are witnessing a truly impactful era of governance,” Engr. Dawodu said. “This dedication to continuity and people-focused projects is why we are confident that the later progress of Ekiti will be greater than the former.”

Engr. Olaoluwa Dawodu concluded by wishing Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji a successful completion of his current tenure and a similarly successful outing as he prepares for the re-election process, affirming that the people of Ekiti are solidly behind his continued progress.
