Profile Of Mother in Celestial Prophetess Mrs Mary Ayodele Apanisile [Nee Kurrah]

Mother in Celestial prophetess Mary Ayodele Apanisile (Iya Igor) [Nee Kurrah) was born into a Christian family on 27th November, 1945 in Liberia to the family of Mr Jeremiah and Mrs Comfort Kurrah. They were members of the Anglican family.

At the age of 6, her family moved to Nigeria precisely in Ibadan, Oyo state. Mary Ayodele attended ICC Moor plantation Ibadan in 1958. She proceeded to St Michael’s Apata in 1960 for her secondary school education.

Her father was transferred from Government College Ibadan to Owo in Ondo state. This gave Mary the opportunity to attend st Louis’s to have her modern school in 1966.

Iya Igor as she’s fondly called obtained her grade 2 in 1978 at st John’s Mary’s Owo. Her first appointment as a teacher was in 1978, 1st August at AUD primary school Ondo. After 3 years she was transferred to Motailatu Community School, Ondo.

She later worked her transfer to Okitipupa division.In 1987 she obtained Associateship Certificate Education (ACE) at University of Ife., in 1993, she had her NCE from National Teacher Institute, Kaduna.

Mrs Apanisile is an icon in teaching, she was a disciplinarian, hardworking teacher who never joked with her work. She was never absent in school and ever punctual.

Today, to the glory of God many have passed through her tutelage. She taught in various primary schools in okitipupa/Ode-Aye… CAC primary school, St Gregory’s primary school, St Matthias primary, Baptist primary school, Methodist , Anglican primary School.. she was headmistress in methodist primary for years and also in Anglican primary school where she retired on july 15th 2013 .

She was a sports woman well known all over the state. She officiated at so many sport fiesta in various schools both in secondary and primary schools; as chief track judge, chief field judge, chief referee etc . She was a runner, netball player and lawn tennis player.

When she was in service, she received various awards including the prestigious Institute of policy management Development Educational Leadership Award which has Oba Adedotun Gbadebo Alake of Egbaland as their Grand patron.

Mother in Celestial prophetess Mary Ayodele Apanisile began her journey as a shepherd of the Celestial Church of Christ almost 50 years ago when she joined the church at omolore parish ondo. She had her first ointment at imeko in 1979.

She was a prophetess in the league of her own. She was among the prophets who first prophesied in English and various tongues. No one joked with her prophecy either as a member or non member of the Celestial Church. Her prophecy, visions and dreams are very accurate even till now… she graduated with a degree and masters at Celestial Church of Christ theology seminary in makoko.

In her life till her called to glory she’s a lover of children… she visited various parishes preaching the gospel healing all those who are oppressed by the devil… she prayed for children, pregnant women, women waiting for the fruit of the womb etc.

She was well known all over the state fondly called iya Igor. She was a mother, a teacher, helper, intercessor to many.. After her retirement as a teacher in 2013 she was always on her white garment called sutana till she breathed her last at 6am after taking the holy communion 3am on the 21st of March 2025.

She was a complete woman. She was a lamb, she was a sheep and she was a lion. She was so blessed that all her children are pastors and General overseers

She survived by children and many grandchildren
