Nigerian singer, Qudus Fakoya Olatunji, popularly known as Qdot, was attacked in the early hours of Sunday when armed robbers invaded his residence in Lagos.
The incident occurred around 2.30am, with intruders reportedly holding him at gunpoint before carting away his phones, laptops and other valuables.
According to accounts shared on social media, the robbers also accessed his bank accounts and transferred funds.
In addition, they took control of his social media profiles, raising fears of fraudulent activities and prompting warnings for the public to disregard any unusual messages, posts or financial requests from his accounts.
While no injuries were reported, the incident adds to growing concerns over the rising spate of violent home invasions in Lagos, particularly targeting entertainers.
Similar cases have recently been reported involving other Nigerian musicians.
As of press time, neither Qdot’s management nor the Lagos State Police Command has issued an official statement on the robbery.
