News Update
Reports circulating online say that Hon. Onibonoje Maruf Olayinka, councillor representing Ubandawaki Ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, has appointed more than 100 aides.
The list, which has been shared widely on social media, names Muftau Onilaru as Chief of Staff, with Ibrahim Yekini Ottu as Deputy.
The appointees also include dozens of Special Advisers, Senior Special Advisers, Special Assistants, and Administrative Assistants covering areas such as education, infrastructure, security, media, youth empowerment, tourism, gender issues, and more.
If accurate, the reported appointments would number 101 in total, far exceeding the typical support staff attached to local government officials.
As of press time, however, neither Hon. Olayinka nor the Kwara State council authorities have issued a statement, and no official documentation has been made public.
