ACCORD party national Treasurer, Hon. High Chief Abdul-Azeez Oyeniyi Salahudeen, has stepped in to resolve the crisis within the Osun State chapter of the party.
Addressing journalists in Osogbo, Hon. Abdul-Azeez described the situation as a “family misunderstanding” common in politics, assuring that reconciliation is underway. “We’ve listened to the first group, and will soon hear the second before bringing everyone together,” he said.
He expressed optimism about Accord’s strength in Osun, urging party members to prepare for upcoming elections. “We are taking over the State Assembly. I want all our faithful to come out strong.”
Accompanied by a delegation from Abuja, the national leadership met with key aggrieved figures including Alhaja Rukayat Olanrewaju and former executives who tendered documents accusing ex-chairman Pastor Victor Akande of arbitrary suspension. The delegation promised fair hearing and resolution.
The swift national response has raised hopes of unity within the party as stakeholders push to end the crisis ahead of 2026 elections.
