THE Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has suspended its recruitment for applicants seeking positions in the Immigration, Civil Defence, Correctional, and Fire Services.
The suspension took effect on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, and the application platform is expected to reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025.
The board said the decision became necessary due to the large number of users visiting the site, which has led to technical problems and delays.
This pause will allow the board to improve the system and make the application process more efficient.
Many applicants had experienced difficulties accessing the portal due to slow loading times and crashes caused by heavy traffic.
According to the CDCFIB, the upgrade will make it easier for applicants to complete their registration once the portal resumes.
The board also thanked Nigerian youths for their growing interest in joining the country’s paramilitary services and promised to ensure fairness throughout the process.
Job seekers across the country are now waiting for the portal to come back online, hoping for a smoother experience when it reopens.
