The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting for July 24 to elect a new national chairman.
This follows the resignation of the former chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, last Friday.
Ali Bukar Dalori, who now leads the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), confirmed the new date after a meeting held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Monday.
Speaking after the session, Deputy National Secretary, Barr. Festus Fuanter, said a formal notice of the NEC meeting had been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Dalori has officially taken over as acting national chairman and assured party members of his commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
