Tinubu’s Interior Minister, APC State Chairman Declare No Legislative Slots for Aiyedatiwa in 2027

Abuja, June 3, 2025 – A high-stakes political showdown is brewing in Ondo State as President Bola Tinubu’s Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Ondo State APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, have reportedly declared that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa will not secure a single House of Representatives or senatorial ticket for his allies in the 2027 general elections.

The statement, made during a closed-door meeting in Abuja with local government APC chairmen and party leaders, signals a deepening rift within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, according to sources familiar with the matter.
