Osun Amotekun Felicitates Christians, Calls for Peaceful Coexistence At Easter

THE Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Christians across Osun State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

In his Easter message, Dr. Omoyele described the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the ultimate symbol of love, sacrifice, and hope for mankind.

He noted that Easter serves as a profound reminder of the power of faith and the importance of selfless service to humanity.

“The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary reflect the highest form of sacrifice and redemption. It is a period for deep reflection, thanksgiving, and spiritual renewal,” he stated.

Dr. Omoyele urged all Christian faithful to use this sacred period to pray for enduring peace, unity, and stability in Osun State and Nigeria at large. He also emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths, noting that the nation’s strength lies in its diversity and unity.

While encouraging residents to celebrate the season with joy, he also called for moderation in festivities, reminding everyone to be mindful of public safety and their civic responsibilities.

“As we mark this holy celebration, I implore everyone to celebrate in moderation, show love to one another, and uphold values that foster mutual respect and harmony in our communities,” he concluded.

Dr. Omoyele reaffirmed the commitment of the Osun Amotekun Corps to the protection of lives and property, assuring citizens of continued support and collaboration with all security agencies to maintain law and order during and beyond the Easter period.
