THE Federal Government has announced Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations.
This was made known by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement issued on his behalf by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani.
Tunji-Ojo congratulated Christians across the country, urging them to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness as exemplified by Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection form the cornerstone of the Easter celebration.
He encouraged citizens to use the Easter period to offer prayers for the peace, unity, and progress of the nation.
The Minister also reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to his Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at advancing national development and prosperity.

He urged Nigerians to demonstrate compassion and generosity toward one another during the season and beyond.
