Drama as Mad Man storms School, attacks Headteacher in Ondo

Pandemonium ensued at Idanre, in Idanre local government Area of Ondo state, as a mentally deranged man invaded Baptist Primary School, disrupted academic activities, and attacked the Headmistress of the school, Mrs Clara Adekolurejo.

It was gathered that while the pupils and teachers scampered to safety, the lunatic assaulted the Headmistress who tried to chase him away.

It took the intervention of the residents near the school to rescue the headteacher.

One of the residents, Mrs Beatrice Akinduro said that the lunatics always roamed the areas using the school as their abode.

Corroborating her, the headteacher, Mrs Adekolurejo said mentally deranged persons often broke into the school and destroyed school properties.

Reacting to the incident, the Education Secretary of Idanre Local Government, Mrs ‘Ronke Akindolire, who described it as unfortunate said authorities had been alerted on the situation in the school.

Some abandoned classrooms in the school had been taken over by lunatics who littered the whole place and damaged the ceilings, windows, and doors.
