THE Action Peoples Party (APP) in Osun State has commenced contempt proceedings against Osun State Chairman of the APC, Sokoto Tajudeen Lawal and the local government chairmen purportedly elected in 2022 but later sacked by the Court.

In a contempt suit filed on 11th March, 2025 before the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo marked FHC/OS/CS/103/2022, which is the original suit number in the Originating summons leading to the judgement of being enforced, the APP which is the judgement creditor in the case maintained that the Respondents/Contemnors have illegally taken over Osun Council offices in defiance to the judgement of the Federal High Court which the APC and other Appellants in the suit appealed unsuccessfully to the Court of Appeal.

The APP equally filed a motion ex-parte before the Federal High Court to cause the contempt application to be served on the Respondents/Contemnors by way of substituted service. No date has been fixed yet for the hearing of the contempt application.
