Idanre APC Stakeholders Congratulate Governor Aiyedatiwa, Seek for Polytechnic Relocation To Community

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Idanre Local Government, convened a productive meeting on Saturday, March 1, 2025, to deliberate on critical issues and chart a course for the party and the community.

The gathering in Idanre resulted in a series of resolutions focused on development and political unity.

At the forefront of the meeting was a heartfelt congratulatory message to the Governor of Ondo State, recently inaugurated for a fresh four-year term.

The stakeholders wished him a successful tenure marked by impactful governance. They also felicitated the newly inaugurated Executive Chairman and Councillors of Idanre Local Government, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver good governance at the grassroots level.

The stakeholders spotlighted Chief Pius Akinyelure, praising his unwavering support for Idanre’s development. They specifically commended his contributions to ongoing road projects, which have significantly enhanced the town’s infrastructure.

On Education

The group lauded the Governor for upgrading Owo Polytechnic to university status shortly after taking office. They seized the moment to appeal for its relocation to Idanre, arguing that this would boost educational opportunities in the area.

Infrastructure development was another key focus, with stakeholders urging the Governor to prioritize the dualization of the Akure-Idanre road and the extension of township roads in Idanre. These projects, they emphasized, are crucial for improving connectivity and spurring economic growth.

Politically, the group appealed for Idanre to be considered for strategic appointments in the current administration, highlighting the community’s lack of such representation in the previous term.

A major highlight was the resolution to establish an Advisory Council. This body will be tasked with creating a framework for the upcoming party congress, ensuring a seamless and transparent process.

The stakeholders also expressed gratitude to Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye and the Idanre Campaign Council for their exemplary efforts during the last election. A unanimous vote of confidence was passed in Hon. Adefisoye, endorsing his continued leadership of the “Odatiwa Odirorun” struggle in Idanre Local Government.

In closing, the Idanre APC stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s progress and the community’s development, pledging unwavering support for leadership at all levels. The resolutions were formally signed and released on March 1, 2025.
