THE Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has declared Friday, January 17, as a work-free day for public servants in preparation for the local government election in the state.
The council polls is scheduled to hold on Saturday, January 18, 2025, by the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC).
In a statement issued by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Thursday, the work-free day will allow civil servants to travel to their communities and partake in the election.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa urged all stakeholders to ensure that the election is conducted peacefully and with fairness, calling for a smooth and orderly process across the state.
