Ijesaland Embraces Change: Awara of Iwara Commends Owa Obokun’s Ascension

His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Adeola Adekinle (Ajagungbade Okunola I), the esteemed Awara of Iwara Kingdom, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup (Ajimoko III), on his ascension as the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland. This historic moment marks the continuation of a rich tradition in the leadership of the revered Ijesa Kingdom.

Oba Adekinle acknowledged the cultural significance of the enthronement ceremony, which took place on Sunday 29th December 2024, as Oba Haastrup was presented his royal staff of office by H.E Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State. The event was a resounding celebration of the unity and heritage that define the Ijesa people, bringing together dignitaries, royal fathers, and well-wishers from across the nation.

In his congratulatory message, the Awara of Iwara Kingdom emphasized the importance of visionary leadership in fostering peace, development, and harmony in Ijesaland.
