Ekiti youths have expressed appreciation to key leaders in the state for their unwavering support and contributions toward a successful Yelutide celebration.
At a press conference held at the Ekiti Youth House, Fajuyi, Ado Ekiti, the youths praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his exemplary leadership. They lauded his introduction of subventions for youth organizations through our active and accessible commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Adesola Gold and the implementation of various youth-oriented projects and programs, describing these initiatives as groundbreaking for the state.
Similarly, the youths commended Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB), Senate Leader and representative of Ekiti Central Senatorial District, for his impactful constituency projects. They particularly acknowledged the construction of a modern library for youths and students, urging him to continue delivering on his promises.
Senator Yemi Adaramodu, Senate Spokesperson and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth Engagements, was also celebrated for his notable “Feed the State” project, which has supported vulnerable populations across Ekiti. The initiative was described as transformative, with the youths praying for his continued success in public service.
Hon. Fatoba Olusola, representing Ado/Irepodun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency, and Hon. Olawande Ayodele, Minister of Youth Development, were appreciated for their festive-period contributions, which further demonstrated their commitment to youth empowerment.
Rt. Hon. Famuyibo Oluwasegun, State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and National Speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), reaffirmed the youth body’s support for the government while emphasizing their readiness to offer constructive criticism when needed.
This collective acknowledgment reflects the importance of collaboration and leadership in driving youth development in Ekiti State.
