President Bola Tinubu has appointed Nwakuche Ndidi as the new Acting Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
The appointment is effective December 15, 2024.
Ndidi’s appointment comes after the end of Haliru Nababa’s tenure, who had served as CG since February 2021 under former President Buhari.
Ndidi, born on November 26, 1966, from Oguta in Imo State, previously held the position of Deputy Controller-General overseeing Training and Staff Development.
He is a Fellow of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies and has been awarded the national honor of Member of the Federal Republic.
His extensive experience is expected to guide the service in this new role.
